Jason started in the wine and spirits industry in March of 2010 and has been with Macadoodles since 2018. Jason’s “epiphany wine” was a 1985 Clos du Val Merlot served from a magnum on Friday, October 29th, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. pacific time at their winery. The magnum had been opened since the previous night. He can still tell you what it smelled like, looked like, and what it tasted like. Jason remembers his immediate reaction as being “So this is what real wine tastes like? I am in!” and the rest, as they say, is history.
Jason started collecting wine, which ultimately led him to selling wine and spirits for a living. His collection hovers around 1,500 bottles. 1,300 of which are wine, 150 rare bottles of whiskey, and roughly 50 bottles of beer.
“When I am asked how I became an expert, my response is that I am not one. Experts are far more analytical in their approach and are taught to act a certain way. What I am is passionate. My goal is not to sell you something. My goal is to help you feel more comfortable with your choice.”
